Athol Fire Smoke and Co Detector Inspection Policy

The Athol Fire Department has implemented a new policy/procedure for applying for a Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Detector  Inspection.  Effective 10/15/15, anyone requesting an inspection will be required to come into the Athol Fire Station located at 2251 Main St. to apply.  Inspection fee will be due at time of application.  These requests will be accepted Monday through Thursday from 8 A.M. until 1 P.M.  All applicants will be directed to the administrative assistant Liz Bergquist to apply.  When fee is paid, the inspection may be scheduled.

Fees for inspection of a one family residence are $50. 

Two Family - $75.

Three to Six Family $200.

Seven plus $300. 

If inspection fails, the fee for re-inspection is $25 per unit.  All checks should be made out to "Town of Athol".
