June 14, 2008 NEECA Fun Day

The heat and humidity did not deter people from attending the inaugural event of the New England Equestrian Center of Athol (NEECA), held at the new arena at the center on Saturday, June 14, 2008. It turned out to be a "Fun Day" for everyone.

April 29, 2008 Swearing-In Ceremony for Volunteers

Honoring all of the people who volunteer on town boards and committees.

May 2007 Swearing in Ceremony

On May 8th the Town of Athol recognized its
volunteers with a volunteer appreciation and
swearing-in ceremony.

Chicken BBQ

4 organizations Lions, Elks, Rotary and Hands Across North Quabbin coordinated and organized a barbeque to raise funds for a pavilion at Silver Lake. To be successful they recruited numerous volunteers, made picnic tables and sold tickets. As you will see from the photos everyone had a great time;

Police Station

The new police station opened on September 12, 2007. It has been 55 yers in the making and is a big part of the renovations happening in Athol, It is a major asset.

Red Sox Trophies

The 2004 and 2007 Red Sox Championship trophies came to the town hall.

Veterans Park Flowers

The flowers in the veterans park were recently replaced and updated for spring.
