Eagle Scout Program - Fire Hydrant Rehab

Gabriel Roberts of Boy Scout Troop 8 - Athol, along with other young men, worked diligently at scraping and painting some of the fire hydrants in Athol.

Gabriel assisted by Nick Wornham, Anthony Marcucci and Javan Fox worked on Gabriel's Eagle Scout project.  The plan was to scrape and paint 100 fire hydrants around town.  The materials were provided to the young men by the Department of Public Works - Water Division.  Hydrants in the Main St., South Main St., Pleasant St. area can be seen sporting a new fresh coat of red paint due to the tireless effort of these four.

Asst. Superintendent Dick Kilhart, said that he, also an Eagle Scout, can appreciate the hard work that these boys put into the project.

The Town of Athol is very appreciative of the work and effort put into the project by these young men.
