Board of Selectmen
General Information
The Board of Selectmen meet on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in Room 21 of the Athol Memorial Building. The meetings are taped by AOTV and typically aired live on Channel 13 (TIme Warner Cable subscribers only). Meeting agendas, documents, and minutes can be accessed thru the mytowngovernment.org meeting site.
The Open Meeting Law requires Boards and Committees to post their meeting agenda at least 48 hours in advance. To request a topic to be added to agenda you must contact the Chairman of the Board or the Executive Assistant on the Thursday before a scheduled meeting. All agenda requests are at the discretion of the Chairman.

The Board of Selectmen consists of five members, and three are required for a quorum. Members of the Board of Selectmen are elected by the residents of Athol. The Town Election is held the first Monday of April.
