Silver Lake Park

The Students from the Conway School of Landscape design have produced a proposed master plan for Silver Lake Park in Athol. The Open Space and Recreation Committee will be having public meetings to discuss the elements of the plan and how we might proceed. Click on the link to view the plan Silver Lake Master Plan. Silver Lake is one of Athol's hidden jewels. Access to the park is a patchwork of side streets but when found offers some wonderful scenery and an active recreation area. Shore fishing is allowed (except on the beach) where bass, Perch, Sunfish, and Pickerel can be found. Boating is not allowed on this lake. Walkers stroll the 1/2 mile flat perimeter road and picnic tables are available along the shore. 

The Ball Fields and the Pavillion may be reserved by calling the DPW at 978 249 4542. Other permits may be required at the discretion of the Town. Please use the form at the bottom of the page to reserve your party.
