NEW FALL APPLICATION FOR SPRING PLANTING
Applications are now available for the Spring 2023 planting season. Applications are available online or at the main desk at the Athol Public Library. Applications may be printed from the online form and filled out and dropped off at the library until the close of business on October 31st 2022. You may also scan the QR Code in the attached image to apply!
Rules for Participation
• Open to Athol Residents only.
• All applicants must own their property.
• Submission of an application does not guarantee you will be awarded a tree.
• All applicants will be subject to a site visit by a member or members of the Athol Shade Tree Commission.
• All trees must be visible from a public byway.
• In the event of a large number of applications tree awards will be determined by lottery.
• Preference for tree awards will be given to those who have not received a tree in the past.
• It is the responsibility of the applicant to plant the tree awarded and agree to maintain it to ensure survival during the crucial first year of planted life.
•If awarded a tree, a hole must be dug and ready for planting upon delivery date. If not, the tree will be forfeited.
